Blessing of The Fishing Fleet

Every year, the Boothbay Community (residents and visitors alike) gather in Boothbay Harbor to remember those in the maritime industry who have lost their lives to the sea, and to pray for the safety of those who continue to earn their living on the water.  We are proud to have the Blessing of The Fishing Fleet* as part of our Windjammer Days festivities. The blessing is performed following the outside memorial service which is held at Fisherman's Memorial Park on Atlantic Avenue. Viewing can take place at the Fisherman’s Memorial or any place in the harbor.
